Text of decision | The proposed new delivery model was presented to SMT on 7 June 2018. An Equality Impact Assessment is attached and there are no adverse impacts on any groups. The new delivery model was agreed by SMT as there will be no difference for the service user in terms of the care they receive. |
Reason for decision | Contract expiry - As part of the procurement process options were explored in terms of care delivery models and the proposed model was considered to be the one that would fit best. |
Other options considered (if any) | Other ways of delivering home care were considered by the Extra Care Project Group. These included: Shift pattern (block) payment by hours delivered block and additional spot if it goes above the block Spot only Banding Levels - on a spot basis Increase the number of Banding Levels - on a spot basis Core and Spot (proposed for Beechfield - due to the number of voids at the scheme) Core with Contracted Provider and Spot with an agency chosen by the service user Core with Levels Core with Block (proposed for Pennyman House because of the stability of the scheme) |
