Middlesbrough Council are proposing to introduce a traffic calming scheme, extending to Glendale Road, Tollesby Road and Rievaulx Drive. Survey results showed high levels of speeding and through traffic in the area. This scheme would reduce these levels, improving the safety of the network for motorists, pedestrians and cyclists in the area. The purpose of the report is to detail the results of the public consultation exercise carried out for the proposed scheme and to seek Executive Member approval for the scheme to proceed to the implementation stage.
